Berkeley Optometry Webinars

The Admissions and Student Affairs team at Berkeley Optometry would like to invite pre-optometry students to informational webinars about the profession of optometry and admissions to Berkeley Optometry. 

Our webinars are scheduled as follows:

October 25, 2012 from 3-4:30pm (PDT) - Essay Writing and Etiquette
November 1, 2012 from 3-4:30pm (PDT) -  Interviewing Skills

Programs may change course prerequisites at any time and may have additional requirements, recommendations, or policies that are not reflected in this summary or on the PTCAS website.  Programs may also allow applicants to substitute courses or choose different prerequisite tracks.  Applicants should review the program-specific data posted in the PTCAS Directory at http://www.ptcas.org/DirectoryProgramsList/  or contact programs directly to determine whether a particular course will fulfill a prerequisite.

EVMS Open House

Eastern Virginia Medical School invites students to attend their Biomedical Sciences M.S. and Ph.D. Programs Open House!  Learn about their unique programs including Ph.D., Research Master's, and an exciting new Master's Program in Biotechnology.  See demonstrations of research equipment.  Learn about research strengths at EVMS including cancer and infectious diseases, cardiovascular science, diabetes, neuroscience, and reproductive biology!  This is a great opportunity to meet and talk to current students and faculty!

AAMC Post-Bacclaureate Database is Down!

Unfortunatley, the AAMC Post-Baccalaureate database (https://services.aamc.org/postbac/)  is currently down and is expected to be down for maintenance over the next few weeks.   However, they hope to have it up and running in the near future.  Please see the googldoc below to see programs that exist.  From there, you can search for the individual programs via their school's websites!

VCU Impressions Program for Pre-Dental Students

The Student National Dental Association (SNDA) of Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Dentistry is excited to announce their upcoming Impressions Program being held Saturday, November 10,2012 from 8:00am-4:00pm.

This program is targeted toward undergraduate students interested in the dental profession. The event will be held at the VCU School of Dentistry in the Perkinson Building. During the day students will learn about the dental application process, DAT instruction,dental simulation, financial aid, and participate in mock interviews with faculty and dental professionals in the community.  Applications should be postmarked by October 19,2012. 

A confirmation with further details will be sent no later than one week prior to the event.  If there are any questions regarding the program, feel free to e-mail harrisontl@vcu.edu.
